Natural Wood Stain Look with Faux Finish Technique

These stairs were an interesting project. Originally the client requested them to be stripped and stained. But after removing the 6th layer of paint, a white wash was still visible even after numerous sandings. So I used 4 glaze colors instead of wood stains, to create a very natural wood finish.

Two-Color Faux Finish Bedroom

This room is created by two colors of glaze being added to the walls at once. This creates a a soft effect or can be quite dramatic depending on the color choices. The client calls this “The Lemon Room” as there is a lemon tree outside the window. It will be a guest room.

Tri-color Gold Paint effects on Stair Case

This stair case started out plain black. I then accentuated parts of it with three colors of Gold, to create a unique custom Faux Finish look. The top of the hand rail was finished by protecting it from hands with a clear top coat.

Faux Finish Bronze Lion Guarding The Pool

This pair of Lions guarding the back yard pool were in desperate need of some help. We took the lion that was drab gray peeling stone and turned him into a fabulous Lion with a Bronze faux finish.
