What if I Only Have a Vague Idea of What I Want?

In most cases, all I need is some general concepts of what you wish to accomplish. With that, I can provide some ideas that can help crystalize your vision before committing the concept to paper as an illustration for your approval.

Is There Any Way To Know What My Mural Will Look Like?

Once we have agreed on an idea, I’ll provide an illustration for your approval, which will give you a pretty fair approximation of what it will look like. Keep in mind that the exact colors may look a little different on your walls, particularly with different light in the day and at night. In other words, the exact look will vary somewhat throughout the day, and year, depending on how much direct and indirect light the room receives, and of course depending upon the electric lights in the room, as well.

How Long Will It Take?

There are a few factors that determine the length of time it will take to complete your mural. The most obvious would be the size of the mural.

Additional factors would include how detailed it may be, as well as how accessible it is. For example, murals along a stairway, or on a ceiling will take longer than on a readily available wall.

Additionally, if there are special requirements, such as a unique custom-sized canvas for (some individuals prefer murals on canvas instead of their walls), then we would need to schedule time for ordering.

If you have any time pressures, due to anticipated house guests, or wanting to have a project completed while you are traveling, or before a holiday, be sure to let me know and we’ll work it out.

Regardless, I’ll be able to provide a pretty good approximation of how long it will take, once we discuss your needs. Some projects can be done in a day, some may take two weeks, but most of the ones I do are completed within a few days.

What If I Don’t Like It?

The vast majority of my clients are delighted with the final results of their custom art.

However, it can be perplexing for some individuals to watch the progress, since the early phases of creating a mural may give very little indication of how it will finally look. Even as the project is well developed, it still will not give a satisfying depiction of how it will ultimately look.

Regardless, I invite feedback along the process, and even once the work is completed, I can usually accommodate some minor adjustments.

Of course the best way we can ensure a thoroughly delightful completion is to begin with an illustration that you are happy with before we start any painting.

What Are The Best Colors and Styles?

Although this is a matter of personal preference, I often suggest considering not only your favorite colors, but what colors and styles will harmonize with and compliment your existing environment. Let’s discuss this and we’ll work out what’s best for your circumstances.
